- Junior Service League of Waterloo, Inc. organized by Mrs. Philip K Rausch with 40 charter members
- First Charity Ball held in 1940 (63 years and running!)
- From 1941 to 1950 eye glasses were purchased for the under-privileged children.
- In 1950's a receiving home for neglected, abandoned children and a bargain shop was opened.
- In 1960's league assisted in the purchase of a new bus for exception persons, renovation of the swimming pool of the YMCA, and pledged $25,000 to the Waterloo Civic Foundation.
- 1968 - Accepted into membership of AJLA, changed name to Junior League of Waterloo, Iowa, Inc.
- In 1973 the JL name changed to include Cedar Falls. The JL donated to Children's Theatre, Art Gallery, Renssalaer Russell House, Halfway House for Women, Adult Day Care Center, Cedar Valley Hospice, and Neighborhood housing.
- In 1980's multiple projects were funded from Grin & Grow Inc, Family Center, Transitional Living Program, People's Community Health Clinic, Mayor's Volunteer Luncheons, Cerebral Palsy Horse Show. JL raised over $28,000 and 10,000 pounds of food for Cedar Valley Food Bank.
- Now a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International. AJLI provides consultation, training, and other support services that help the leadership of the 294 Junior Leagues throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico & England. AJLI is a not for profit organization. All of AJLI's & the Junior League of Waterloo-Cedar Falls, IA, Inc. programs and activities are supported by membership dues, foundation and corporate grants, company and individual sponsorships, and revenue producing efforts.
