League’s Lockers Receives Grant Funding!

Otto Schoitz Foundation
In November 2017, the Junior League of Waterloo-Cedar Falls was awarded its first major grant directly related to our League’s Lockers program. The Otto Schoitz Foundation announced its inaugural grant awards to local organizations that aligned with their mission of improving the health and well-being of the Cedar Valley. Grant funds will be used to expand the League’s Lockers program to Waterloo East High School as well as support growth of the League’s Lockers program at both Waterloo West and East High Schools by now offering items such as personal hygiene products and nutritious snacks to students in need. We are very thankful to the Otto Schoitz Foundation for supporting our mission and positively impacting the lives of our area teens.

Black Hawk County Gaming Association
In February 2018, the Junior League of Waterloo-Cedar Falls was awarded another grant in support of our League’s Lockers program. The Black Hawk County Gaming Association grant will be used to sustain our League’s Lockers program as well as potentially expand into additional schools within the Cedar Valley. We are honored to be receiving support and recognition of our program through support by organizations such as the Black Hawk County Gaming Association. The Junior League of Waterloo-Cedars and specifically, the League’s Lockers program, is excited to continue our mission of voluntarism and positively impacting teens in our area.
